A small selection of Kanaloa condos has the option of air conditioning. During much of the year it is not needed. If your unit is equipped with this option and you want to use it, there is a per-day charge depending on the unit size (prices are subject to change). This charge is to help offset Hawaii’s high energy cost. If you would like to use the air conditioning, contact the rental office at 808-322-7222 during business hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm. Please ensure all windows, doors, and louvers are closed when the A/c is in operation.
Daily housekeeping service is not included, but can be purchased for a nominal charge. Please contact the rental office at 808-322-7222 to schedule this service.
Your room keys (for units with entry door keys) and safe key are located on the hooks inside of the front door. Please ensure the lock box key is returned to the lock box to allow you access throughout your stay. Upon departure, please return all keys to their appropriate hooks. A lost key charge of $50 will be applied for any missing keys. There will be no refund for keys mailed back to us after departure.

To gain access to the property, utilize the pushbutton on the guard shack. All vehicles are required to be registered with the Association Management office located in the Recreation Building. Please obtain a parking pass and gate card through this office. All gate cards must be returned upon departure to the Association Management office or a $30 lost gate card fee will be applied. Management is not responsible for any damage, fire or theft to auto or contents while parked at Kanaloa. Please ensure to lock your vehicle and take all valuables with you.
24-hour emergency service is available at Kona Community Hospital lo-cated in Kealakekua. Phone number is 808-322-9311. In case of a medi-cal emergency, please dial 911 for immediate assistance.
Trash corrals containing bins are located throughout the property.
Gas barbecue grills are located at each swimming pool, circle area and by the maintenance shop. For safety reasons, barbecue grills are not allowed on the lanai of individual units.
A copy of the house rules is provided by Association Management as part of the registration process. Site managers and security personnel are responsible for enforcing these rules.
Washer/dryer and complimentary bag of laundry soap is located in your unit. Additional laundry soap can be purchased at the nearby Keauhou Shopping Center.
Smoking is not allowed anywhere on property at Kanaloa at Kona. Persons who smoke or permit smoking inside a unit or on the unit’s lanai area will be assessed a Smoke Eradication Fee up to $1,000.00 USD depending on the unit size at or following check-out. Additional fines will be assessed by the homeowners association to any guests found violating the non-smoking policy.
Hawaii is a tropical climate and pests are common due to the year round warm, humid weather. Pest control service is completed on a regular basis to help minimize the presence of pests.
Even in paradise there’s no need to offer temptation. Please lock your unit when leaving even for short periods and when retiring for the night. Also, remember to lock your rental car doors.
